#TRSB: '12 #NBA MVP Pick: Kevin Durant #OKC

Kevin Durant has made a name for himself over these last couple of years with the Oklahoma City Thunder. Durant has already accomplished  being crowned the youngest scoring champion ever  after averaging  30.1 points per game during the 09-10 NBA season. KD has become arguably the best offensive player in today's game with his deadly pull up mid range jumper, consistent perimeter shooting; his ability to attack the basket. The only player with a better offensive game resides in Madison Square Garden in New York.
Durant has seemed almost unstoppable as of late especially from his playoff performances these past few years.

In my opinion I wouldn't be surprised if this kid is eventually declared the best player in the league.  During the lockout, Durant was torching every basketball court he hit even outperforming the likes of LeBron James, Carmelo Anthony; Dwayne Wade. It is only a matter of time before KD will be able to take the Thunder into the NBA elite company. I expect an explosive season from Durant with the West being as vulnerable as it has ever been this season.  Durant has reigned the past couple of seasons as the NBA's leading scorer and it would be hard to see anyone overtake him at that spot. He also has been improving his rebounding lately and will even play some power forward this year which could bring those rebounding numbers up. Factors for KD to win the MVP include:
  • Lead NBA in scoring
  • Average  at least 8 rebounds a game
  • Lead the Thunder to the No.1 in the West
  • 4th quarter clutch
