Andy Dalton's Success

Coming into the 2011 NFL season Andy Dayton was not the QB every expected to make a run for rookie of the year. He was considered at best a developmental QB let alone a starter. Let's go back in history for a while. When Andy decided to stay for his senior season at TCU, this gave him a huge advantage why? Not only did this give him time to develop more, but it also gave him a chance to play in senior bowl in which the bengals staff coached his team. This move right here gave Andy Dalton a chance to get exposed to Jay Gruden's playbook and Marvin Lewis' style of coaching. When draft day came and he was drafted by the Bengals this gave him a head start that most rookies didn't have. As you can see Andy can make this offense run like a brand new Mercedes-Benz, even though there was a lockout, he had the playbook already organizing workouts. As the season goes on and he is able to breakdown defenses more efficiently, he will one day be top a QB in this league.
